Okay, I'm going to ask the obvious question. Under the law, turkeys cannot commit a crime, so they cannot be convicted or sentenced. So the whole 'pardoning' is just a damned gimmick in the first place. Therefore, if the president can 'pardon' one, he can just as easily pardon two, or a hundred, or a thousand. The turkey doesn't care, because it doesn't understand what's going on. And domestic turkeys are industrial-strength stupid anyway. So... what am I missing here, anyway?
